  • JHC provides software and consultancy services to the financial services and wealth management industry. Developers are the essential part to develop and maintain current and exciting new applications supporting the financial industry.

    We are looking for an experienced React developer to support a team of junior/mid-level developers across our London, Birmingham and Newcastle offices. The role will involve mentoring and code review as well as development and testing of new and existing React applications written for the wealth management sector. 

    In addition, you will maintain and develop a set of packages based on a create-react-app monorepo which have been created to improve developer efficiency and standardise code across our codebase. This includes a reusable component library which we aim to run cross-platform with a storybook design system.

    Required skills/experience

    • 3-5+ years’ experience building responsive web applications
    • Advanced knowledge of React/Redux
    • Solid understanding of JavaScript fundamentals
    • An engineering mindset with an understanding of modularity, testability, scalability, etc.
    • An appreciation for the importance of unit testing and experience with modern testing tools (Jest, enzyme, Cypress, etc)
    • A keen eye for design and a passion to create beautiful UIs that are accessible and intuitive
    • Strong communication skills both verbal and written

    Desirable skills/experience

    • Angular 1.x
    • TypeScript/Flow
    • Micro-frontend experience
    • Experience in design systems/reusable component libraries

    Salary & Benefits:

    Salary: Competitive

    Holidays: 25 days per year plus bank and public holidays
